Positive review of Shostakovich' 11th symphony
‘So far this is the best one available’ reviewer Siebe Riedstra concluded. In the May/June 2010 issue of Luister - the Dutch equivalent of Gramophone - he discusses a recording of the Eleventh Symphony by Shostakovich. This recording of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra led by Mark Wigglesworth has recently been released on the BIS label. The recording dates from 2006.

By now this is the fifth CD of Shostakovich symphonies made by this conductor and orchestra for BIS. All previous registrations have been given the highest praise as well.
